You'll type your code once more inside the app — Safari and the new icon don't share a login.

Somebody tagging you by name in the chat, or calling the whole crew with @all. New votes and their results, and the odd announcement. Never your own — and nothing at all for a message nobody put your name on.

Open Settings, then Notifications, then Indy Co., and turn Allow Notifications on.
Press and hold the Indy Co. icon on your home screen, tap App info, then Notifications, and turn them on.
Tap the icon to the left of the web address, then Notifications, then Allow.
Come back here once it's on — this closes itself.
You can carry on without them — the chat still works.
